PLACEHOLDER FOR DAM HSTORY RESEARCH

The Barton Dam is located within the Barton Pond-Huron River sub watershed (Hydrologic Unit Code [HUC] 040900050309) between the Baseline Dam and French Landing Dam within the Ann Arbor Moraines (VI.1.2) ecoregion.

Presently, Barton Dam is the only dam in the city still used to generate electricity (City of Ann Arbor 2020). The majority of the lake has a depth of approximately 15-20 feet (MDNR 1995).
